Overview
We want you to fall in love with Painterize. That’s why we offer a free Starter plan with enough credits to explore our features before making a commitment. While we strive for perfection, we understand that issues can arise, which is why we provide refunds and reprints under specific circumstances. Keep reading below for full details.

Refunds
Subscriptions and Credits
You are eligible for a refund if:
- You purchased a Monthly Subscription within the last 14 days, have used less than 5% (or 50 credits, whichever amount is lower) of the allotted credits, and have not used your subscription discount to purchase any additional items such as prints, Credit Packs, or downloadable items. The unused credits from the allotted amount will be removed from your account.
- You purchased a Yearly Subscription within the last 14 days, have used less than 5% (or 50 credits, whichever amount is lower) of the allotted credits for the first month, and have not used your subscription discount to purchase any additional items such as prints, Credit Packs, or downloadable items. The unused credits from the allotted amount will be removed from your account.
- You purchased a Credit Pack within the last 14 days and have used less than 5% (or 50 credits, whichever amount is lower) of the allotted credits. The unused credits from the allotted amount will be removed from your account.
Once a refund for a subscription plan is processed, your account will be downgraded to the Starter plan and will stop accumulating additional credits each month.
Any previously purchased credits will remain in your account. You are free to continue using your credits as long as your account stays active.
Cancelling a Subscription
Cancelling a subscription means your plan will not be renewed on the next renewal date, and your payment method will stop being charged for subscription renewal. Your plan will be marked as “Pending Cancellation” and you will still have access to the features of your plan through the end of the current billing period. If you have already cancelled your subscription and want to obtain a refund in accordance with the guidelines above, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Prints
All prints are made-to-order at the time of purchase, and for this reason we generally cannot allow refunds. However, if there is a manufacturing error or your item arrives damaged, you can reach out to us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a picture of the item and we will evaluate if your item can be refunded or reprinted. See the Reprints section for more details.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received your refund yet, follow these steps:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
- Contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Clearance items
Purchases for items marked as “Clearance” are final and cannot be refunded.
Reprints
If your item arrives defective or damaged and you would like a reprint, send us an email at [email protected] within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a picture of your item. If we confirm the item as defective or damaged, we will reprint your item and ship it at no extra cost to you.
Please keep the following considerations in mind before placing your order:
Color Accuracy
The colors of images generated and displayed on our platform are intended to provide an accurate representation of the final product. However, due to the inherent differences in color display across various device screens and printed media, we cannot guarantee exact color matching.
The final output of your print may exhibit color variations from the digital images viewed on your screen. These variations are influenced by the type of printing process, paper or canvas quality, ink types, and other factors inherent to the printing process.
Upscale Adjustments
In order to achieve a high quality print at larger sizes, we will automatically upscale your image to the proper DPI (dots per inch) for your desired print size. This ensures your image is printed in crisp detail without any blurriness. The upscaling process may sometimes produce or enhance minor artifacts that were not visible in the original image. The upscaling process may also make minor adjustments to color saturation and textures.
Edge Tolerances
Due to the printing process, there is a tolerance of 1/8 inch around the edges of prints. Please keep this in mind when customizing your print, and do not place important parts of your image too close to the corners or edges of the customization preview.
Shipping returns
We do not accept shipping returns under any circumstances. Please do not ship your item back to the return address on the label. You will not receive a refund and we will not reimburse you for the cost of shipping the item back. If there is a problem with your print item, please follow the guidelines above for obtaining a refund or reprinting your item.
